Provider Spotlight: Willamette Wellness Center

Arin Wallington, MA, LPC, NCC

This month’s provider spotlight is Willamette Wellness Center.

Willamette Wellness Center is on a mission to make mental health care inclusive of everyone who needs support. Their team welcomes you to experience authentic hope, healing, and health. They utilize a wide variety of modalities and therapies to help clients achieve this.

Fully Trauma-Informed Care

Willamette Wellness serves clients from a trauma-informed perspective and model of care. This method ensures that each client feels seen, heard, safe, and in control of their therapy.

The counselors and therapists at Willamette Wellness encompass a vast range of training and therapy styles. Primarily serving adolescents over 14 and adults, the team offers clients many therapeutic modalities, including the following:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

  • Couples, Family, and Individual Therapy

Willamette Wellness Center is an inclusive practice, welcoming the BIPOC and LGBTQI communities. We work to understand everything we can about our clients, their backgrounds, and the cultures and environments that shape their lived experiences.

Trust and Transparency

Willamette Wellness Center is an inclusive therapy practice.

The client’s well-being is at the root of every interaction at Willamette Wellness Center. The counselors are not there to dictate what your treatment will look like but, rather, collaborate with you to find the best course.

The first goal is to help each person, couple, or family feel safe. This feeling of security requires that the therapists make sure clients feel truly seen and heard throughout the process and have the autonomy to move forward at their own pace.

Counselors at Willamette Wellness Center understand that therapy should be flexible and malleable as you heal and progress through the work. And most importantly, they wholeheartedly believe that each person can heal and recover from the trauma they have experienced, no matter the level of impact it has created.

Generational Healing

Founder and owner Arin Wallington, MA, LPC, NCC, comes from a family of helpers, therapists, and counselors. In fact, her grandfather was the first psychiatrist in Coos Bay, OR, helping to bring mental health services to the small town. After serving clients in various mental health settings for many years, Arin opened Willamette Wellness Center in 2021.

Currently, all appointments are virtual using HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms, but a brick-and-mortar location is in the works. Willamette Wellness Center is also eagerly working toward certification in psychedelic medicine delivery after Oregon’s landmark legalization of psilocybin use for mental health treatment. The staff is excited about the possibility of another effective support for those with anxiety, PTSD, and other challenges.

Willamette Wellness Center offers discounts for cash-pay clients and currently accepts the following insurance plans:

  • Pacific Source Commercial

  • OHP: HealthShare, Trillium, Pacific Source

  • United

  • Cigna

New clients can connect with Willamette Wellness Center to fill out a new patient form and get started. The staff works carefully to match clients with the right provider that will allow a trusting, healing relationship to grow. They are here to offer hope, healing, and health.
